So, this weekend our neighbor fell 4 trees in the backyard that were looking like they were going to fall anyway. A few years back another one of the backyard neighbors had an unwatched fire that had never gone out and it ended up rekindling and catching our entire backyard, 2/3 of our property on fire and burning it all up. The trees are burnt about 4 to 5 ft up their trunks. The fire had burnt down all of the scotch bloom which we saw as a blessing but it killed a bunch of the trees. So, the 4 in the back corner were timbered this weekend. It looks so bare in the back corner now.
I wonder what Paul has in store for the wood. :o)
